Put In Solar And Get Back Cash
From rebates to tax incentives, there's never been a better time
to install a money-saving solar power system.

New Jersey Clean Energy Program
Administered by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, this popular program offers generous financial incentives to power customers who install new grid-tied, renewable energy systems.

The seven major New Jersey gas and electric utilities participate in the Clean Energy Program, which provides a rebate of up to 60 - 70% of the cost to purchase and install a solar electric system for either residential or commercial applications. Click here to learn more.

Federal Business Energy Tax Credit
The Federal Business Energy Tax Credit is a 10% tax credit available to businesses that invest in or purchase solar energy systems in the United States.

You can take a direct tax credit of up to $25,000 per year, plus 25% of the total tax remaining after the credit is taken. Remaining credit may be carried back for the three preceding years, and carried forward for 15 years. Click here to learn more.

Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System
In addition to the Federal Business Energy Tax Credit, Section 168 of the Internal Revenue Code contains a Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS) whereby businesses can quickly recover their investments in solar, wind and geothermal systems through faster depreciation deductions. Currently, the MACRS tax provision allows you to depreciate 95% of the cost of a new renewable energy system (after rebates) in just five years. This is a very valuable incentive because the life expectancy of a high-quality solar system can exceed 30 years. Click here to learn more.
